A lot of girls we grew up with but whom weren't necessarily our friends, ended up getting pregnant, doing drugs, and fucking over their lives and the lives of their children. It's really sad to see youth so well wasted and so well condemned, and it's really upsetting to see that this image isn't so random, but you can see how youth get to this point via drug abuse, promiscuity, and generally irresponsibility, from flawed institutions like teaching abstinence in schools, or from simply portraying that it's cool to live this way. We see that on MTV, magazine covers, movies, advertisement campaigns, it seems like a good chunk of the world is actually designed to suppress and debilitate youth, and that is a very scary and important realization to make.
